Greatest Anime of All Time

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann

This is absolutely the greatest anime I have ever seen, and possibly will ever see. Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann is made by the same geniuses who brought us Evangelion and Fooly Cooly. TTGL takes place in an underground village filled with workers who are forced to dig all day in order to expand their village and in return get fed. We meet a young boy named Simon, who also works as a digger but not for the food, but for treasure. We then meet Kamina, the insubordinate, enthusiastic and fearless leader   of the "Gurren Brigade", a small group of rebels. Kamina claims to have seen the surface and has dreams of breaking through his isolated home to explore it and plans to take Simon with him.

Well, this is just a very short, basic overview, I don't want to talk to much about the plot because this anime really needs to be experienced rather then read about. TTGL is an incredibly original and refreshing story that contains the most well made character, in my opinion, in any anime I have seen. Kamina. Kamina's fearlessness and ambition is no less than inspiring. His unbreakable spirit  makes this series a masterpiece and it carries on until the end.

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann is an action-packed mecha (with a little bit of ecchi thrown in) that will have you begging for more. This is one anime that you just CANNOT miss.
ALSO- This anime was recently given an English dub ***DO NOT WATCH IT*** the English voices are done so badly, it ruins the characters!!! This series needs to be watched in Japanese with English subs.

New Pokemon Anyone?

If anyone reading this is a Pokemon fan, then I'm sure you know that the new Pokemon games; Black and White, were recently released in Japan. Well, I saw the list of the 100-something new Pokemon and I have to say, they're pretty damn good. When the previous Pokemon games Diamond and Pearl came out, I was really disappointed. I thought the game was pretty good, it played like any other Pokemon game but I just didn't like the new Pokemon. Some of them were ok, but other Pokemon, like Bidoof, Shellos and Stunky, were in my opinion, poorly made. I'm very hopeful about the new Pokemon games though, the starters are solid and the other Pokemon are neat and creative. They also really updated the graphics, now its a fully 3-D environment. Can't wait for it to come out in America!
